to one of the raddest guys I know. I
have to thank you guys at Thrasher
for keeping me in touch with some
kind of hip reality.

JUST PLAIN GREEN?
What's going on? I was looking
through a BMX zine and I stumbled
upon a "Step by Step" on how to
demolish a skateboard against a
wall. What's the world coming to? Are
they jealous?

BIG BOYS
I really enjoyed your interview with
Rob Roskopp in the Dec. issue,
especially the part when he says,
"Everyone out there doesn't realize
that big guys have. It's almost
twice as hard." I myself, at 6'2" and
200 pounds, can definitely relate to
that. Well said, Rob.

GOOD INFLUENCE?
My little bro, who's only 4 years
old, is really into skating. He wears
Vans, skates a mini-Hosol and cuts
his hair like Christian, too. Whenever
I get a Thrasher Mag he sits there
and looks through it for his favorite
skater (Christian Hosoi), and he cuts
out the pictures and throws them on
our walls. If it wasn't for Thrasher
Mag, he wouldn't be this way. Thanks
a lot.

WHERE HAVE ALL THE SKATE
BANDS GONE?
The other day I was listening to the
first two Skate Rock albums (truly
outstanding!), and something hit me.
What happened to some of those
bands? Here's where you can help.
I would be eternally grateful if you
could tell me what the following
groups released and where I can (if
possible) get these releases. The
bands in question are: Los Olvidados
(I heard they had an album), Skoun-
drelz, Riot 303, Black Athletes, Free
Montevallo AL
35115
Beer, Borscht and the wonderful
Ancestors: Gods of Sound. Please,
tell me all you can about them. Oh,
now here's an idea: a special Skate
Rock issue. It could have interviews
with a hella lot of skate bands and
have photos of them skating. What
about an interview with the Stupids?
Keep up the outstanding work.

Keep an ear to the ground, most of
those bands are still around in some
name, shape or form. One Stupids
article coming up. T-ed
PRO
I really liked the article about
720-the Ultimate Aerial Experience.
It was too short, but cool! There was
only one mistake-you said it would
be coming out in March. Well, I spent
ten bucks on it today, January 31. I
was pulling fakies, fast plants, 360°
airs, 540° airs and even a 720° or
two. Hand plants and "540° bounce
off the brick wall back onto the ramp"
were rad also. If any of you guys out
there see this game-play it.

In his article "720 The Game,"
Kevin Thatcher tells us to "skate on
down and check it out," referring to
a new skate video game. I've got a
better idea. Skate on down to a local
skate spot and let the video freaks
worry about what's new at the ar-
cade. I mean, jeez, how much fun
could it be to make some punk do
tricks on a TV screen? Besides, what
kind of skater needs Atari to show
them how to skate? So go skate and
let Atari rip off some poseurs who
don't have any idea what real skating
is about.

MAIL SLOP
I have sent you dudes at Mail Drop
about 10 letters (they were nice let-
ters) and you have managed to print
zero! Now it could be the fault of the
brilliant U.S. Postal Service or it could
be someone else's fault. What's the
problem?

If your other letters were as exciting
as this one, I have no idea how we
missed them, Ted
