Daniel Anthony Leonard
"Jake"
February 11, 1964 - February 19, 1987
Local Bay Area skate character, Jake "The Weasel"
Leonard, died in a house fire in the Potrero District of San
Francisco, California, on Thursday, February 19, 1987. Jake
was born at University Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, he
graduated from Orange High School (Class of '82) in
Orange, California, served in the U.S. Coast Guard aboard.
the USCGC Point Chico out of Bodega Bay, California, and
more recently with the Fort Point Search and Rescue Divi-
sion in San Francisco. He is survived by his mother Tanya
and father Herman, both of Las Vegas, Nevada. Jake was an
avid longboard enthusiast and musician who always had a
good word, a hand shake, a smile, a laugh, a yell and a lust
for life. He will be sorely missed by those who were closest
to him and by all who crossed his path. This one is for you
Jake, wherever you are.
