RE: Blatant Disrespect
BY: Bruce Adams
While I'm picken a few bones...the
blantant disrespect at the CCCC ramp
had better end or we'll gladly make it a
private ramp and let all you redneck dirt-
ball kleptos go skate in a gas station.
Thrasher ran an article about keepin' a
clean scene; well, we'd like to, but since
we built the best possible skate struc-
ture any freeloader could ask for, too
much crap has been going down. Yes,
right here at our metal heaven, built by
our sweat, blood and determination, for
use by all skaters, free of charge. No
rules posted, no papers signed, just
come out and skate.
Since Cedar Crest was built (March
1986) the following has occured: a
motorcycle owned by ramp owner Mark
Hooper was ripped off. Add to that an
expensive drill set, a light system,
Wade's board and pads-anything that
was left for any period of time. You leave
it, you lose it. Two locked doors have.
been kicked in repeatedly, resulting in
busted off locks and doorknobs. Screens
on the windows have been ripped out,
windows broken, graffiti everywhere,
ramp paint splattered on the boardwalks.
Bob Umble's car was broken into and
raked heavily through the speaker holes
leading into the trunk. Rob Mertz's van
was broken into and cleaned out of
everything he and Ken Sigafoos owned.
Someone shit on the bed inside the
ramp house. And let's not forget the
endless amount of trash everywhere,
everyday. The place is a focal point for
disrespectful asswipes.
I know myself that it's not a local or
diehard skater who's doing this-they
respect what they have been granted.
It's some redneck, poser, derelict,
shithead lameasses who are responsible
for the above list of belligerence. And
when we find them, they're dead meat.
Don't let us catch you pissing on our
paradise, 'cause you're gonna pay
sooner or later, slime.
All we gotta do is "drag the chain"
and it's our private domain. You make
the choice, moochers; it's not far from
happening.
