THRASH-A-THON
AXIS
OBJECTIVES:
1. To raise money for the American Heart
Association by skating continuously for
72 hours on a ramp located in the Univer
sity Union, at California Polytechnic State
University, San Luis Obispo, California.
2. To determine and become familiar with.
what may happen when professional
skaters commence activities that aren't
governed by contest rules.
3. To become familiar with the proceedures
for utilizing selected lab equipment in-
cluding: kegs, skateboards, stickers, and
assorted men in blue.

THEORY:
1 STOKE'S LAW: As the caliber of skating in-
creases, crowd intensity increases ex-
ponentially and in direct correlation with
the fun factor
2. BLUTO'S LAW: The amount of energy ex-
pended is directly proportional to the
caliber of skating, crowd intensity and fun
(see Stoke's Law).
3. BLUE MEANIE FORMULATION: The sum
of the results of Stoke's and Bluto's Law
must equal no fun. Note: Although the
Blue Meanie Formulation is not yet
understood. It will be tested throughout
this experiment.
PROCEDURE:
Lab procedure will be regulated by the
guidelines set forth by insurance companies
and school officials. Forms Stress 212 and
Stale-240 explain the fundamentals of this
experiment
DATA:
Day One:
On October 21, 1986, at exactly 7:00 pm.
experiment #3 was proceeding according to
plan. The ramp was successfully dispatched
via flat-bed to the pre-determined area-an

blocks with no blue meanies present. Wood

fairies infiltrated and departed from the ramp
area at will, blessing the ramp carpenters
with wood from heretofore unknown donors.
The first sign of sessioning activity was
recorded at exactly 4:31 am, Wednesday
morning. October 22.
At approximately 7:46 am Wednesday
morning, spectators began warming up to the
experimental atmosphere. Ramp vibrations
were penetrating the ambience of the Cal Poly
campus. The impact on the studious was
significant enough to cause a chain reaction
of hooky playing and general tardiness. (See)
attached administration attendence records
for Oct. 22-24.)
Experimental subjects Erta "Dr. Lap"
Ulman and Brian Collins showed up at the
lab site to do a little research. It was obvious
to them that the ramp apparatus was quick,
