Of Expression looks different with an
all new and improved format, but the
material is still the same: cool, down-

ty (who are headed back into the

based Dead Spot's new bass player
has been pulling their sound
together. They are currently rework-
ing a demo tape. It's got the rowdie
raucousness and energy of Anti-
Nowhere League, with a few twists,
and is worth checking into: P.O. Box

F.O.D. have cancelled their tour with
no current plans for a new one.
Scram have also cancelled their
tour. Samhain is currently
negotiating a deal in Japan for
distribution of realeases in that
country-could a visit be in order
soon? New Jersey's metal
heavies, Krank, have announced
their alliance to Metal Blade Records.
The band has played a great deal in
the northeastern area and opened
for a lot of national acts. Look for the
album, entitled Hideous to be releas
ed soon. More on R.E.M.'s Peter
Buck, who's been busy as a bee pro-
ducing release after release: you can
hear the fruits of his latest efforts, a
new album by The Feelies (releas-
ed on Coyote Records, PO Box 112,
Uptown Hoboken, NJ) which is real

maybe Joy Division with a touch of
country. Strange but true...The
Crumbsuckers (from NY) are pois-
ed to release their first album-they
have a sound that's been compared
to their buddies Agnostic Front.
Look for the release, called Life Of
Dreams to be released through Com
bat/Important. Want to check out
the best heavy metal around with no
fuss? Check Bullets, a compilation of
nine bands, featuring one track from
each of their forthcoming, or already

released, albums on Combat or
Combatcore. Names like Mega-
death, Abbatoir. Helstar, Agent
Steel, Dark Angel, Agnostic Front,
Crumbsuckers, Impaler and
Possessed. You can't go wrong??
...Already out and hot to the touch
is Impaler's release, If We Had

releases aren't available on vinyl-
what you hear is what you get, and
you can't get it anywhere else.
New Jersey's been a hotbed of ac-
tivity (no-not the nuclear kind) with
a bevy of releases: check out the
brand new one from Pleased Youth
called Dangerous Choo-Choo-it's a
good thing that all those doom-
sayers, who cry "punk is dead,"
never got to this band-because
they've put out an album that proves
it ain't so, with hard-hitting punk rock
rhythms and great thrash
chords. The Skulls' release,
Dress Up And Die, is a ripping offer-
ing of rock with metal twists and
buzz-saw guitar work over pounding
beats and rhythms...Bedlam
unleash total craziness on their Lost
In Space album, which has a great
cover of the TV show theme song. All
of these are available from Buy Our
