The Damned blazed a ferocious
trail through California in December,
blowing out any doubts they wouldn't
be any good after Captain Sensi-i
ble's departure from the group. Word
is that Warner Bros. prefer the Capt.
pursue his more lucrative solo
career rather than hang with the
boys. But the Damned, undaunted
by this, drove on. Their set began
with the first half of "Curtain Call,
continued through their cld hits (ex-
cept for the ones the Capt. holds the
rights to) and even included "Lust
For Life", the Iggy Pop tune, before
ending with the last half of "Curtain
Call. Their shows in Los Angeles
had Lance Mountain flailing in the
front, wearing his wedding ring and
Spidey backstage making Rat sign
his deck. They talked about skating
and Rat inquired as to whether or
not many riders get hurt singing
540 airs. It seems that the Rat has
been receiving THRASHER every

Witnesses state that THRASHER
photo-ed M.F. was seen elbow-vying
some buff Aryan for a two-foot dis
tance visual perspective during their
encore. He just doesn't care any
more. Plain Wrap has broken up,
playing their last gig at Safari Sam's
in Huntington Beach, where drum-
mor Gregg Keen broke his foot kick-
ing over his kit in a failed attempt at
a spectacular finale. (That'll teach
him to use quality equipment.)
Greg was supposed to begin his new
job as drummer for Tex And The
Horseheads the next night, but his
doctor (and the fact he had to havel
a cast on his loot) prevented it

grovel to Wilbur Williams, the drum-
mer they just fired, to play that night.

several nightclub appearances with
his rock 'n roll show. All three of these
