BEAT BOARDLESS
Last Saturday after I got home with
my new board I started skating to my
friend's house about 7 blocks away.
These three skaters came up to me
and started pushing me and calling
me a wimp, saying I didn't know how
to skate. This one said, "Why don't
you give me your board so you won't
get hurt." I smacked him in the face
with my board and took off running.
They finally caught up with me, beat
the crap out of me and took my board.
I don't see where those jerks think
they're better because they're older.
If they read this letter I want them to
know I'm going to come back after
them to gain revenge!!!

BUMMED ABOUT BAN
Here in SLC, Utah all of the street
skaters have had their skating privi-
leges taken away. About a week ago
they passed a law prohibiting skate-
boarding on the downtown streets.
I'm not a street skater but we had our
park tom down too. There are a lot
of ramps but they're built like shit. So
me and my friend built this rad ramp
up in the mountains so that the cops.
wouldn't tear it down. Now we have
a ramp to skate on whenever we
want.

I'm in Sacto Juvi waiting to go to
the San Leandro juvenile hall. My
brother Mark and I went to a party
with this skater from Newport and
skate bros. We heard about it from
these betties. We walked in the
door and got ramsacked by about
25 jocks, we finally got out the door,
my brother and I went running
down the street and the others took
off in the car. I ran next to my
brother with a beer in his hand and
he's yelling at me because I made
him spill some of his beer mean-
while the Santa Cruz football team
is chasing us down the street. We
escaped and 2 months later the
cops catch me and say that I stab-
bed one of the jocks. I went to court
today and 3 betties are saying that I
did it. So I'm doing 6 months to 5%
years in the Slammer.

ON LAME ATTITUDES
I wish to express my disgust at the
selfish minds of certain (numbering
many) skaters who continue to direct
their egotistical, lame attitudes to-
wards me and other skaters. Trying
to skate better than the next person
just for the sake of proving what a
super hero you are doesn't relate
to mo. Skating is lots of fun and
doesn't require the "macho" asset.
My reaction to a beginner rolling down
a footpath and sketchin' out is the
same as getting blown away by mags,
videos, good skaters, etc. Just be-
cause I'm not as advanced doesnt
mean I'm less worthy than the next
skater. Does this apply to you? We're
all in this together-let's enjoy our-
selves!

WHO ARE THE REAL LOSERS
HERE?
I never thought I would write into
your mag, but when I read the letter
that Craig Ellingsworth wrote I had to
write in to tell my story. I am a girl
and started skating last January. I
thought I would get a lot of support
from the locals, especially since I
live in California where supposedly
the raddest skaters roam the streets.
What a joke. When they found out
that I started skating all they did was
tell me how much I sucked and what
a poseur I was. If they are so "great"
then why don't they teach me. Their
favorite word to call me is loser, but
we will just see who makes it. I can't
even go to anything that has to do
with skating because they will be
there. Sometimes I feel like quitting
all together but I'm not that stupid. I
love skating and think it's the best
thing in the world, and I can under-
stand why so many people are start-
ing, but if I had known I was gonna
get harrassed instead of accepted
as any normal human beings would
have done, I would have stuck to my
Big Wheel because no one deserves
this type of emotional abuse. The
skaters around here give skating a
bad name and deserve to be hassled
by cops. They think they're so hot
because they are punk rebels. Any
real skater would laugh their head off
if they saw these guys. Skate for fun,
not power.

I don't know where the hell Death
Circus is and I don't care. Those "Crap
Sandwiches" that were in the Sep-
tember issue went over pretty well out
here on the East coast, and I don't
mean with the kids only. The folks out
here liked them so much that they
suggested the editor of the school
newspaper try one. He did and he
iked them so much he published "The
Chef's recipe in the Christmas issue
of the Middlesex Messenger. The
paper hasn't come out yet but I'll give
ya an update on the popularity of the
"crappies" schoolwide. So there, to
the dude who didn't like them. Keep
up those great recipes.
