            55 Decontrol
A stage-front, overcrowded
with enthusiastic participants,
struggle with the pounding surge
from behind, as each bit down for
stable footing, holding the
ground, but still wild with cheer-
ing velocity. The sound level is in-
credible, intense, as the chords
are blasted with deafening force,
entering inside the earport and
trampling on the sensitive
senses. Song after song, the fury
builds a monumentous wallop as
the notes rapidly rage havoc in-
side the cranium. The excited har-
monies stop suddenly, but the
ringing from the sonic overload
continues, haunting with

menacing appeal for hours to
come. Welcome to the Puszone,
where waves of vibrations bring
exhiliration to the human form,
but loud over-abundances of de-
cibels will fracture inside the lis-
tening tube, deafening, as the
music fades away.
Hurl frantic fists forward, thrash
the form to the energy that really
exists here. This is straight across
power with vigorous punches, this is
the third phase, this is SSD. If the
mind is closed, the experience that
this vinyl platter grinds forth will
never fully hit its grasp. Combining
sheer metallic riffs with the best of
what SS Decontrol drove forth, this
becomes an engulfing powerhouse

assault. How We Rock is exactly
what SSD accomplish with a
dynamic force, hitting hard with driv-
ing hooks and volleying leads.
Springa's rasped-out vocals are
more polished, but still charging with
that growling command that leads
the familiarity of the SSD barrage.
The ferocious guitar onslaught by
Al, Francois, and Jamie hits with
invigorating gladiator charges,
these axes strike with precise thrusts
of scraping chord changes. Each
note carves an iron warfare trail,
mixing the fury of hardcore with the
wild kerranging of metal rock mad-
ness, all combined in steadfast ag-
gressive slashes. Boston's SSD
enter into a new thundering of
exhilarating combustion, heating up
the environment with its full tit ap-
proach. SSD will catch you off guard
with this release, but the energy still
punches strong. On Modern
Method Records.

with spun tight lyrics of serious to
comical gestures, spitting out the
words with direct commands.

Hiding in the northwest is
hardcore's answer to jarring excite-
ment. Savage and sonic, these
brute musicians sabotage the

Idea launch forth their second re-
lease, Record Collectors are preten-
tious assholes, a might personal title
reflected to members of the band
and to all those adoring record col-
lecting fanatics throughout the land.
The title, or the cover, only hides the
madmen tactics that Jerry, Tom,
Dean and Chris crazily force feed
unsuspecting speakers,
catapulting clamor directs an in-
tense and wild missiling attack of
speed, power and skill immensely
dispatched. Tom's feverous guitar
strumming is versatile in its bold
stance yet bolting with the crying
quickness that spins split second
surges of mayhemic mania. What
would Poison Idea be without that
mammoth snarling vocalist Jerry?

The man's a maniac in his own right

from a growling throat as his rauc-
ous crazed approach is the highlight
of Poison Idea live. This 12" blazes

Erection Records.
Currently, any Subhumans re-
cord that has come out has been
well-received and enjoyed. The
Subhumans brand is one of solid
direction with strong variations and
creative talent, bringing the pleasure
to the listener with a wide range.
Rats ep is no exception. Strong with
rapid slices, yet smooth with har
monic pieces, a few reggae riffs and
some quick-thrash parts, but the in-
struments are used to form a musi-
cal venture, pulling forth the imagi-
nation with unique beats and un-
paralleled changes. Dick's vocal
ranting haunt within the whole of the
Subhumans, as each piece is a well
thoughtout story in its own right. In-
telligent with poise, The Subhu-
mans direct a positive message de-
livering an enhancing musical voy-
age. Experience the music The
Subhumans create, what dreams.
persist on. On Bluurg Records.
Savage chunky riffs storm in raw
rocky power, as Last Rights drive a
mean charge of brutal energy.
Choke's harsh vocal deliverance,
as
the music hits with a driving Bos-
ton appeal. Toe tapping with sing-
along capabilities, Last Rights
force out heavy rhythms that rise
with performance. Interesting with
similarities to SSDecontrol and
Negative Fx. On Taang.

What Did Ya See? Pile driving
melodies have taken over as the
sing along howling begins with head
bopping drum beats that cook with
the frantic pace. Melodic instrumen-
tation is well presented as each
song works inside of each other,
pushing from one limit to the next.
Not thrash, but head hammering
punk with well delivered uproars and
sporadic into seizures, giving the
Stretch-Marks a unique strength
with soaring harmonies. Each
member has put out a fine perfor
mance, well produced and all in all a
very enjoyable release. The bell
sounds and the Stretch-Marks
bout begins. Your participation is in-
vited, but watch for those top rope
dives. Available for $5.00 from
