            While others were launching, Olson was
lounging. Here Steve Improvises into a
coffin under the picnic table ramp.
The amateur streetstylers were pretty good
on the ramps. This Mark Gonzales kid was
doing one-hand stands off of the picnic ramp
with his board on top of his feet and then landing
on the ground. Another amateur kid named Tim
Runningen was skating real smooth, doing long
board sliders and both axle grinders on the
curbs. Tommy Guerrero won it though because
he seemed like he was glued to his board, he
never fails. He gets off of almost anything and
does these foot plant things when he flips the
board around and jumps back on it.
Well, the pro street guys came out next and
they seemed crazier than the amateurs. In the
finals this one dude, Neil Blender, lit a paper bag
on fire at the start of his run and then skated over
it and put it out. Another big kid whose name
was Roskopp, came speeding into the area with
crutches under his arms like wings, I thought he
was gonna kill himself when he flew off the table.
Some of the other hot guys were, like, Primo
Desiderio, he had some hooks on his board so
he was jumping over everything including 3
