After work I went to Fogtown Skate Shop and talked with the Big
Boys and the Skoundrelz who were hanging out. Then Tim and
Biskuit of the Big Boys told me some shivering news.
"We have reason to believe that the Injuns were in a plane crash
early this morning," one said while the other handed me a news
clipping. "Four perish in light plane crash." It was dated today.
"What a drag. Do you know for sure if it was them?" I asked.
"No."
"Let's go up to the Dish for some photo sessioning." Carlos said.
I learned then that my weekend wasn't over yet and it was Tues-
day evening. The following session was intense. After numerous
frames of bizarre images were etched onto two rolls of film, I went
home. My weekend finally wound down Friday and just before I
passed out in front of the TV, I realized what I actually learned from
this experience. All of the energy, whether it was the skating, unifi-
cation in friendship of all of the people from across the country who
were involved, the music, the words that they say or the attitudes
they possess, will never fade or go away. It will only get bigger.
Just then, on the TV screen, Steve Martin began shaving his
tongue. I burped, closed my eyes.
