DOLPHIN SKATE AND BOARD KEY
Next time you're out on a skate safari you
won't want to be without one of these new
Dolphin board keys. This basic board tune-
up tool should be considered mandatory for
any skater out in the field who needs to
make mid-session, or curb-side repairs
and tune-ups on any brand skate.
Its basic construction consists of a piece
of die stamped steel cut in the shape of a
dolphin. Hey, with that in mind, we'll de-
scribe the tool as it relates to the anatomy
of our friendly sea mammal. The "mouth" of
the tool is an open ended wrench in two
sizes. The larger size, "e" opening is re-
ally only suitable for the older type rol-
lerskate trucks with locknuts, but the inner
opening fits the standard %s" king bolt nut
found on all trucks. The dorsal fin is actually
cut in the shape of a % open end wrench
which proves invaluable for tightening truck
mounting screws. Moving on down to the
tail you'll find a ½" box end wrench that is
suitable for removal or adjustment of wheel
nuts. To top it all off, a swiveling screw-
driver blade has been riveted onto the mid-
section.
All in all, this is one handy little tool that
you won't want to be without if you're seri-
ous about skating.

VARIFLEX Bill "Humphrey"
Beauregard's Bogey Board
Alright, so you don't know who Hum-
phrey Bogart is, well, look at it this way.
He's the guy that Bill Beauregard named.
his new signature model from Variflex after.
This board is just one of the fine signature
decks available from the Variflex stable for
1983.
The graphics feature a caricature of the
original Humphrey, complete with
trademark, snap brim and overcoat,
screened on the bottom of the deck along
with plenty of room for your own graphics.
Its size, 30 x 10%/4" is accommodating but
compact for vertical maneuverability. The
rounded concavity runs the entire length of
the board, from the fully rounded nose all
the way through the kick. A feature that is
not found on most other boards. The tail
area is a stable, 6 inches long, by 9 inches
wide.
You won't find wheel wells on this board,
but, as with all Variflex models, it come
complete with grip-tape and rail sliders to
go. For more info on Variflexs' wide line of
