10" RAMP/STREET MODEL
This new, gnarly ramp/street 5-ply deck
from Santa Cruz Skateboards might just
be the model you're waiting for if you like to
skate a variety of terrain and don't have a
big bank account. From the same
company that brought you the original, and
popular Santa Cruz 5-ply some years ago,
this 10" x 30.5" board will cost you about
half of what you would pay for any top line
signature model.
Now this is not a rehashed, repainted old
stock template that was dug out of a
warehouse somewhere. It is a brand new,
flat decked, shape that is specifically
suited to the all around street/ramp skater
who needs a strong stick. Its strength
comes from two double thick plies
sandwiched in between three thinner
layers of high quality, superior grade
maple. It is definitely a little heavier than
most boards of comparable size (3½ lbs.),
but what good is a lighter weight stick when
it's laying there broken in half from a five
foot drop off.

Other happening features on this board
include wheel wells all the way around and
the sloping 16 kicktail which hangs 6%
behind the pre-drilled truck mounting
holes. The whole plank is sealed in a
heavy coat of white paint with the bright red
Santa Cruz emblazoned on the bottom.
The set-up shown here includes
Independent 169mm trucks with the new,
center bearing OJ Street Juice Wheels.
The size of the board allows the use of a
narrower truck, about 150mm, if you're
using a flat backed wheel.
