A FEW GOOD RAMPS
I wrote before from New Jersey asking
about skate activity in Charleston, S.C.,
my new destination. Well I've been living
here in Charleston for about 4 months
and have found a 16' wide by 8' high half-
pipe, a partially demolished park and
have helped to build a few good ramps. I
found all these through THRASHER mag.
How did this happen? Well, I was here
for two months when this skater called me
and said he saw my letter and pic in
THRASHER. He told me he had a ramp
and through him I found all these spots
and more.
I was heavily bummed to leave my long
time skate friends and an intense 16' wide
half-pipe in Eatontown, N.J. I was recently
informed that the half-pipe in Eatontown
fell to the wrath of the Army, they tore it
down without any explanations. Some
people will never understand.
I would like you to print this message to
all skaters in South Carolina and nearby
areas: write me and let me know where
you skate and how to get there, since
we're planning many road trips this
summer. Thanks THRASHER for providing
a great mag and a great way for skaters
everywhere to get in touch and skate.

I just want to tell you your mag is the
greatest and skating is definitely alive
here in the Midwest, so is hardcore music
such as Necros Negative Approach,
Bored Youth and Meatmen to name a
few. Everyone that goes to the hardcore
gigs skates, every show is packed with at
least 150 people, of which 99.9%
skateboard. Anyone that thinks
skateboarding is dead is gay and wasn't
into it enough to begin with. Incidentally. I
play drums for Negative Approach and
also skate for Powell. Thanx, please print
this, I just got to get it across to America
that the Midwest rules in skating and
hardcore.
