THE SWEDISH HAWAII...
I'm writing from Hawail, the Swedish
Hawaii, Gotland. We are going to build a
ramp like the Ramp Ranch, but this one is
going to be cooler (you can see the
plans). We've got all the plywood and
soon we will have the rest. It's going to be
10 x 9m (flatbottom, 4m, transition, 2.5m,
canyon, 1.2m wide).
I've been on the Eurocana Summer
Camp. It was fun. Steve (Caballero) and
Mike (McGill) were really hot and there
was a New Yorker there too, Vaughn
Winkler, he shredded.
It's cold here on Gotland and it's raining
almost every day so we can't skate
anymore this winter. But instead we are
reading Thrasher. We, the Hawaii locals,
are doing a Mag on our own, "Rullbladet"
(Rolling post). It is Sweden's best
skatemag. In the summer we are
skimming when not skating..
Don't stop printing the great Mag and
don't put anything but skateboarding in it.
Keep up the great work.

WINTER REALITIES...
I'm an 18 year old skater. I've been
skating for a long time, but I'm stoked at
the way people act when they see an
older person (18) skating. I guess they
think it's for kids. My friend says "they just
don't understand," so I guess he's right.
Anchorage isn't a very rad place, but we
make it rad! My friend has a ¼ pipe at the
moment and we are building a roof over it,
and as soon as it's done we'll send some
pictures. We'll soon be ripping!
I want to go skating outside, but it's
snowing. The weather's warm (35°), but
it's snowing! Thrasher Mag rips! Your
Mag is very rad. Skateboarding is for
skateboards and some magazines have
everything but skating. Well got to go.
Anchorage is an o.k. place to get rad.
