HE CAUSEY WAY IS A MOVEMENT based out of a compound in central Florida. The ACE (Aural
Communications and Entertainment) arm of the organization tour under the Causey name, so people
know what they're getting. Scott Stanton was a Zorlac vert pro in the '80s who, at the time, was
pretty out there (check Zero Hero for verification). Suffice it to say that now he bears some resemblance to
David Koresh. At the time of this communication between myself and Causey (aka Stanton) there were 472
Causey Way members in the U.S. alone, and every one could be called up at any moment to fulfill their duties
in ACE, so the band has a rotating line-up. When I saw them they had a drummer affiliated with the space rock
band Man or Astroman?, a keyboard player wearing a Pro-tec, Causey, a recognizable synth player (if you're
in the know) and a knockout bassist. Rumored to
be joining the next tour is Kris
Markovich. Feeling intimidated at
the prospect of interpreting the
Causey Way, I will let Causey
speak for himself.

Describe to me briefly, if you can,
the philosophy guiding
the Causey Way.
Oh my, you're looking at a
textbook sized description, so
let me be brief and to the point.
If one does not know the ways

of the Causey Way, one does not believe. The United States and
Western Europe are presently undergoing a period of marked spir-
itual ferment and innovation, which for some fact finders has
evoked comparisons to the "great awakenings" of the 18th and
19th centuries. The Causey Way has to do with science and religion
and the complex question of civil liberties and religious freedom.
The debate over "brainwashing", allegedly used by some of the new
religious groups to get and keep converts, is not the way of Causey.
If you want in, come on in, if you want out, out the door you go, we
don't want you around. Causey is happiness, and quite often
sadness. Causey is.
Is there a Causey after-life, and what would it be like?
Complete bliss, my friend, complete bliss. The best parks, etc. that
one could dream of and never a fee or membership. If that is your
bliss, you can bet it will be in the Causey Way after-life, but if you are
not saved by the Causey lifestyle, your parks will be infested by
rollerbladers and BMXers, and little kids using the facilities as a
slide/playground.
I have read a dispatch in which you decry your former role in the
skateboarding world, but apparently only the corporate aspects
of it. Can skateboarding and Causey coincide? Can skateboard-
ing be Causey? Is Burnside Causey? Is skateboarding a sport?
Skateboarding is indeed a work of art, and the science of "skating" is
indeed a masterpiece. The science of fingerboarding/extreme/etc. is a
capitalist idea. Skateboarders are nothing but roughnecks and trouble-

makers. I am sorry I was ever a professional skateboarder; we all have a
past. My skateboarding past was like a bad childhood. I was bad-touched
by several "pro skateboarders", but I must not name names at this point
due to the litigation of the case. Let me say that it has built a stronger
foundation in my life. Skateboarding is indeed a sport, I wish it was not,
but it is and always has been far too competitive. Things have gotten
worse. For the extreme skaters, skateboarding is a sport. For the guys that
meet up after work, etc. skateboarding is not a sport. Funny you mention
Burnside. On our last ministry/tour, we went to Burnside and the fellows
there were not so friendly; they made fun of me and hurt me on the inside.
They were dirty folks, just nasty.

Will Causey soon start going after movie stars, as Scientology, often a
point of reference for Causey, does? Is the inclusion of Rain Causey a
manifestation of this phenomenon?
Yes, indeed yes, the Causey Way has been dubbed the working man's
Scientology. In fact, it only costs a dollar to join the Causey Way, but some
of our well-off members help us out in the financial department, so those
with less can live a respectful life. The Hollywood types have extra cash to
burn, and heck, it makes them feel spiritual and we like to help the men-
tal state of our fellow entertainers, for they make the citizens of the world
laugh, cry, love, and hate. It is such a complex situation. Rain Causey is a
beautiful song, along with her brother Joaquim; he is a beacon of hope for
society, just a gem of a body and soul. There is love, and there is you.
Does the Causey Way condone violence? Sex? Rated R movies?
Poetry? Interpretive dance? Swinging?
Those are many touchy subjects you have touched on, and yes, I have
given my points of view on all of those subjects in the Causey book of
books. Violence, I do not believe in this. Sex, it is a must to keep the
product of life. Rated R movies are sometimes the only way to make a
message-it is a rated secular world sometimes. Poetry is beauty, inter-
pretive dance is wonderful, and swinging is a musical fad that has died
two deaths, one in the 1950s and one just recently in the 1990s.
Has your foxy bass player ever watched a Robert Palmer video?
As a matter of fact, she has never owned a television and is very much
against the television. She grew up in a third world country in a very
remote place. The "Truth" has decided that the picking technique is her
style; she feels it delivers a smoother sound to the listeners of ACE art.
I will agree with you on the fox comment, all of the Causey Way mem-
bers are in one way fine-fine as can be. We are all beautiful. As a mat-
ter of fact I was up this morning preparing the daily lesson, and
caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror, and said, "Damn, I am too
fine to stay in today, I'm going into the secular."
