So this is what skaters do; search for new terrain,
new spots, and fresh hits. Uncharted territory. It's
been going on since the beginning of time, right?
That's why we are here in America. Our ancestors felt
the same way... or in some cases they had no choice!
On that note, I bring to you the City Stars Phoenix,
AZ road trip. The players: Kareem Campbell, Caine
Gayle, Lee Smith, Ryan Denman, and Paul
Rodriguez. The journalists: Heath Brankly of Logic
fame, the infamous Shelby Woods of Thrasher, and
Angel of Biotek fame, among many others. We
departed for our destination on November 30th,
2000 at around 11:00. A pleasant journey with
good people, good laughs and plenty of DVD's
make for a nice short ride.

Upon arrival at our lodgings in PX, we quickly

ing session at the skatepark on 67th and Enconto.
We're talking 6:00 in the morning here, boys. I
guess we're just skate rats like that. A couple of
other early birds showed up, and it was on. Fun
was had, horse was played and sleepiness set in,
but not before some Egg McMuffins; tasty little
things. We awoke from our slumbers sometime
in the afternoon and proceeded on with the
adventure. Off to Cowtown skate shop to meet
our guide and new friend Randy. It's official;
commence the beatings. We hit various spots-
some we skated, some we didn't, some we got
kicked out of; we even ran into the asshole
security guard who hated on Neal Mim's in the
Reason video. What a dick. With all of that said
and done, tricks were laid "four down" and
before we knew it, it was 4:00 in the morning. I
choose not to talk about the tricks that went
down, but to rather let the photos speak for
themselves.
The next day we awoke to find out that
Heath had awaken way earlier than the rest
of us (that's usually how filmers do it), wit-
nessed a bicycle theft go down, and was
