"IF KIDS EVER WONDER WHY THEY DON'T SEE ME
IN THE X GAMES, IT'S BECAUSE I DON'T SUPPORT IT,
I DON'T LIKE IT, AND I DON'T AGREE WITH
HOW THEY PORTRAY SKATEBOARDING"

happen. It's almost like skateboarding has
become a nocturnal activity, mobbin' it late
night with the generators. Generators, bolt
cutters, weed whackers, shovels, crow-
bars you have to do what it takes to make
shit happen nowadays.
Who are your musical influences?
I have influences from all kinds of dif-
ferent types of music. I'm down with
everything pretty much, but I take it into
my electronical world and go into doing
hip-hop and drum 'n' bass-oriented
rhythms with all the influences from the
different music. I definitely got influ-
enced by Goldie and all the early hip-hop.
But music is an influence in itself. It does-
n't have to be any particular artist-any-
thing that's ever been done is inspiration
for me.
Are there any particular MCs you would like
to work with?
Oh, hell yeah! I would have liked to
work with Biggie, but he's gone. It would
be fun to do something with Ol' Dirty, or
some Gravediggaz.
It's unquestionable that you've brought a
certain sense of fashion to the skateboard
world. Is there any person, place, or thing
that inspires your fashion sense?
Not really. I don't really think about it. I
guess that's what it is: just do what you want to
do. Whatever you're feeling that day, just do it.
That's what I do.
This weekend I got to witness a really cool
thing: you were able to help out a kid
named Josh and his family. Can you tell me
about that?
Through Circa we contacted the Make-
A-Wish Foundation and they hooked me
up with Josh and his family. We flew out to
this Make-A-Wish demo in Houston and
hooked up to skate and kick it. We were
stoked to meet Josh and hang with him
and hopefully bring some enlightenment
into his life in any way. If that's what hap-
pened on this trip, then that's dope and
I'm stoked I could be a part of it. I wanna
say what's up to Josh, and it was dope to
kick it with you. Peace. Keep skating for-
ever, man.
I know you went up to San Francisco dur-
ing the X Games. Can you tell me about
what you saw and how you feel about the
whole ordeal?
This year's X Games was a big wake-up call
for me. It made me realize how crazy skate-
boarding is getting, and how blown up and
