HOW TO FREAK OUT⭑
****Remember to always stretch beforehand, so you don't strain any ligaments or muscles.✶✶✶✶
Start running to gather some force before
you smash the crap out of your board.
Use two hands-the one-handed pile drive is
reserved for anger ninjas and is not to be dabbled
with by amateurs.
Like any good lumberjack, smash that axe
down right in front of your feet, while making
sure not to cut them off. No jerky movements
here this must be one solid movement.
A proper release cannot be emphasized enough.
Let go too early and your board will bounce
harmlessly off the ground. There is little pleasure
in that.
A good pile driver will split the laminates,
peeling your board like an onion. Good luck on
getting mad. Remember: you're a skateboarder
and it's part of the job.
Freaking out is not a bad thing-it simply lets others know you
have passion. It's a form of communication. Even though there are
plenty of girl skaters-some, such as Elissa Steamer, who are
better than a lot of guys-we are mostly men. There are billions
of books written about how crappy men are at communicating.
We need practice. Freaking out is a perfectly acceptable way.
We must take what we can get. We suggest you go skating
immediately, try to bust out the hardest trick you think you can
do and, when the going gets rough, flip out and throw the tantrum
of a lifetime. We know you have it in you; you just need to let it
out. It feels good, trust us.
