the second year in a row and shit was goin' off!!
Thrasher's been in the business for 20 years and
we've never seen anything this awesome! The games got
right to the core of what skating is all about: radical
manuevers!, radical lingo!, and radical cash!! With sponsors
like the Marines and ESPN behind them, the competitors
felt comfortable and well-supported enough to really go for
broke! Some no-name guy named Eric Koston won the park
competition this year, but we're sure Tony or Andy will be
back next year to set things straight. We've captured some of
the amazing action on the next few pages in case you didn't
get a chance to wait in line for four hours to see them in per-
son from behind a group of football players and crying
babies. See you next year, rip-riders!
