Where: Just east of Monterey and south of Santa Salinas Skatepar
Cruz, CA, off Highway 101. A huge amount of
the world's salad comes from Salinas, and it's also Salinas, Ca
John Steinbeck's hometown.
What: A huge square dish surrounded by a large side-
walk. At the top is a street "area" with low metal ledges, one flat
handrail that you get on low and drop off higher, and another rail
that is a full-sized handrail. The square dish has two 5-foot quar-
terpipes, a four-sided pyramid, and a large three-sided pyramid
with a ledge shooting off both ends. The pyramids have some of
the best ollie transitions that allow you to go very high yet be mel-
low enough to let you land a tech trick.
Good: Free, no pads, and very cool weather all the time.
Bad: If you're hurt and can't hit those hips, the store is a
drive away.
Locals: Groms don't get in the way too badly, and the locals
can kill it.
Overall: 6 out of 10. -Aaron Jones
O Clockwise from above: Every park should
aspire to have smooth hips like Salinas'. Wes Tonacia
soars, knowing the landing is gonna be butter.
Overviews of the more street-oriented sections.
Heath Sherratt nollie lipsides to fakie on a rail that has
a high sack-factor. Heath again, big nosegrind drop.

Destruction Derby Raw. Coming soon to a skyscraper near you.
The highly anticipated sequel is here at last. With even more of those metal-shredding flips, spins and
roof-crushing rolls we've all grown to love. One to four players can race, crush, and completely
annihilate 18 different cars, on 31 tracks. With frame-bending jumps, tunnels, crossovers, and all kinds
of glass-splintered routes, including one that ends kind of abruptly on the sidewalk-about 90 stories below.
