A police officer got his car stuck at The Bowl at Modesto Skate Park on
Tuesday, after witnesses say he went chasing after some bicyclists.
Police car 'skates' to edge

A police car ended up
teetering on the edge of "The
Bowl at Modesto Skate Park on
Tuesday after the officer
apparently drove after some
bicyclists to chase them away
from the park's concrete pools.
"It was just crazy stuff," Derek
Randell, 19, said after the 4:15
p.m. incident. "I've never seen
anything like it. It was funny."

like he had to charge after us,"
King added. "Someone could
have gotten hurt.

Andrew Mejia, 10, was i
inline skates in The Bowl when
the patrol car came into his
peripheral vision. He said he
scrambled out of the pool.
"I wasn't scared," he said. "I
scraped my elbow."
Nearly two dozen young
skateboarders, inline skaters and
