Where: Between the Bay Area and
Stockton on the 205 freeway.
Why: To check out
cement skatepark.
new
Terrain: A weird little street area
with two pyramids. One is giant and
one is small with rails going down it.
A strange little snake run thing with
a mini-ramp and spine, but one side
is way too mellow. Then a bowl at
the end with two hips. These are
probably the best things there. The
whole thing is four feet high.
Locals: Groms.
Cigarette Damage Factor:
At least an entire pack..
Amount of Time Spent:
Maybe an hour and you're out.
Convenience Store:
There's one a stone's throw away.
Hidden Spot: There's a school
next door with a skateable roof.
Verdict: 3 out of 10.

Nashua Skatepark
Washua, Ng
What: A left-hand kidney pool, 10 feet, one foot of vert in the deep end.
Six-and-a-half foot shallow end with one-half foot of vert. Smooth concrete,
real transitions, death box, tile, and yes, pool coping.
Good: Hell yeah! Free, open 9 AM -9 PM with excellent lighting. First
real concrete park in the Northeast (since the late '70s). The left-hand kid-
ney makes the park stand out and puts Nashua on the map.
Not So Bad: Street course is a little small but still fully workable. Possible
expansion in the near future.
Crash-Up Derby Factor: Moderate. An overdue concrete park with
locals consisting of Eastern Boarder, Newport, RI, Maximus, and the
Wormtown crew, not to mention Penuche's Bar, a nose-wheelie away.
Pads: Helmet required.
Overall: 9 out of 10.
Directions: From Route 3 North, take Exit 6 to downtown Nashua
(Broad St). Follow Broad St for four sets of lights and make a right onto
Main St. Take your first left before the bridge.
