No, I just live off my image.

Clippers. All I need is a good set of clippers.
Concrete or wood?
I prefer concrete, but it takes two to tango.
What kind of skateboards are you riding
these days?
I skate for Adrenalin.
And you just live off your image?
I don't skate. I go skating.
ALWAYS GOES AS FAST AS POSSIBLE
When you do a line down a street or
park or whatever, I've noticed that you
don't really stop until after at least 10
tricks. Have you ever had a maximum
of tricks, where you think, "After the
kickflip slider down the rail, that'll be
it," or is it never-ending?
There's no way to win with skating. It's
never enough. You can always go further,
do more, do it better. There's no way to
finish. Ever.
Where do you live?
I live in Pacifica, California, right on the
Pacific Ocean.
Any plans for the future?
Hopefully graduate from school soon and
just keep skating more and more.
Are you still traveling a lot? Name
some of your favorite spots and places,
and why.
Yes, I travel as much as possible. My favorite
spots are in this order: Marseille, France;
Burnside, Portland; Munk's, Seattle; and Spain
is just a nice place to be.
Why does Thrasher rule?
Where would we all be without Thrasher? I
used to cover my bedroom walls with it. I
mean cover the whole wall. So much good
influence and inspiration-Thrasher is raw.

What's the most dangerous thing you've
done on a skateboard?
I need to think for a second on that one.
Probably this drop-in thing in Sydney,
Australia. One try, do or die, I guess you
could say.
Are you a street skater?
Yes, I do skate street, along with a host of
many other things. I try to skate everything
that's somewhat solid.
When you won the X Games, did you get
any Wheatie box-cover offers?
As of yet, no. But there's always hope for
the future.
Are you a good student?
It all depends on the time of year, but in
general I'm in the B+, A- range.
Is Anakin a good student?
He's pretty smart with reading and everything
else, but he's a little bit on the wild side. He gets
a lot of time-outs, if you know what I mean.
Are you spiritual? You know, yoga,
meditation, God, Buddha? Or do you
just pray?
I'm not afraid to do some yoga here and
there, and praying never hurt anyone.
Name three top pros and why they
should get props.
Bob Burnquist, because he can skate any-
thing and do anything. Tom Penny, because he
has total and complete control over his skate-
board. No hesitation at all. Brian Anderson. All
I can say is casual destruction.
Why do you always go as fast as possible?
Nothing in skateboarding seems any fun to
me unless you can do it with speed. It just
makes everything that much more interesting.
Best trick on Hubba?
I've only skated there twice, so it's gotta be
noseslide 270 shuvit.
Most technical trick ever pulled?
Gotta be the darkslide.
Why do you wake up every day?
It tends to change from day to day.
Sometimes I get up to take Anakin to school,
sometimes to take myself to school.
Sometimes I wake up for no reason at all and
then just go back to bed. On occasion I wake
up early to go skate or paint or to do whatever
else I do. I guess I just wake up to live my life
before it's over.
Why do you rip?
I'm not sure if I rip or not. It's hard to
keep up with all the kids these days. You
could say I've gotten to the level of a
shredder, not a ripper.
How many shoes do you get from
your sponsor?
Usually I'll get about five or six pairs a
month. Far more than I need.
