Total contest value with options = $13,500.
You pick the guitar or bass, then customize it for your own playing
style (up to $4,000). Just imagine the possibilities. To finish it off, pick
the amp that will give you your own signature sound. For the serious
musician, you can choose to have an amp completely customized and
built to your specifications by BLUES LAND AMPS. Contest value with
options $8,500, with BLUES LAND option, total value = $9,500.
Make It Happen. All this and more could be yours. In these contests
everyone starts out equal. There is no luck involved. You win the prizes by
outscoring other players in games of skill. Begin your journey by solving the
puzzle below. If you stick it out till the end and have the highest score, you go
on a shopping spree and we flip the bill. This first puzzle is easy but it gives you
an idea of how the contests work. You will receive full information when you
enter. You have been given the opportunity to live your dream. Are you up to it?
Future Puzzles. For each contest you enter, you will receive by mail,
four more puzzles at $2 each and a tie-breaker at $1. You have three weeks to
solve each puzzle. We can not predict the number of entries for each phase.

CONTEST #3 - GUITAR
EFFECTS RACK
You want pedals, you can have 'em. Do
you prefer rack mounts? You can pick
the rack and fill it with whatever you
desire. Just think of the new sounds you
can invent with this kind of equipment.
Total contest value with options = $7,200.
Typically 58% attain the highest score in phase 1, 45% in phase 2, 38% in
phase 3 and 31% in phase 4. The winner will have the highest score after the
tie-breaker. Each contest has its own tie-breaker. In the unlikely event that play-
ers are still tied, they will split the value of the package they are playing for.
Directions. Fill in Puzzle #1 with the correct words going down. Fill in
across the bottom with letters that correspond to each word. This will spell the
secret word. Check the boxes on the entry form to specify the contests you
are entering. Add up the entry fees and send that amount with the filled out
entry form to the address below. Remember, you can't win if you don't enter. All
entries must be post marked by March 30, 2000. Only one entry per person.
