E GOT TO BUENOS AIRES,
and Butcher took us around,
saying, "This is where Guns
'N' Roses stayed. The women were
lying on the ground to get laid," and
stuff like that. Then we went out to
Mar del Plata, where Butcher has a
house on the beach. With no hot
water and no phone, we were pretty
much tucked away at the end of the
earth. Butcher had the juice and we
just stood around watching the show.
We made it down to one pit at the end
of nowhere, where we had some bot-
tle rockets and fun until the wind
came up. It was gnarly-pretty much
the last pit at the end of South
America. We did the grinds, the airs,
the whatevers, and then we cut back.
The car broke down, and we pushed it
in the rain. Pretty burly.

Clockwise from above: It's his world, we just live in it. The Butcher
gettin' some on his home turf. Gonzalo Rodriguez flips it Miller style.
Argentinian ants roll their own cigarettes. The last skatepark on the way
south gets a little Stranger. After Butcher cleared this natural fun box he
took a tailslide to fakie on a ledge and click-clacked away across the tiles.
Mar del Plata. The last supper at the pit in Valparaíso.
