Pleasant Hill, CA
Where: Near Concord.
What: Wooden snowboard halfpipe stylie with fun box speed bump in the middle.
Good: You can get enough speed to blast right through the rollerbladers.
Bad: YMCA.
Pads?: Helmets with chin straps fastened.
Locals: If they don't rip already, they will soon.
Crash-Up Derby Factor: Cross-traffic with no stop signs; hand signals encouraged but only
used by rollerbladers.
Directions: Take 680 North and exit on Willow Pass Road. Turn left, go through two lights, and
take the second right.
Overall: 7 out of 10 for the speed lines. -Luke Ogden
All the way down the line, Wade Speyer hucks a
frontside air over the biggest gap in the park.

Where: Near Seattle.
What: Five hips, two pyramids, rail, dishbowl, freeflow banks.
Good: Launcher hip, fluid lines, smooth.
Bad: Stairs in middle of park, conflicting lines.
Overall: 3.5 out of 10.
Like magma flowing from an active volcano, concrete formations line the landscapes and
dot the countryside of the foothills. North Bend, WA. I-90. Lava form, five hips, nice 'n' tight,
flow lines, pyramids, rail, little dish, rip ride. -Mark Hubbard
