JERON WILSON SWITCH B.S. 180 KICKFLIP
POET'S CORNER
Posers and Cops
As I skate, my board I feel,
Beneath my feet, and every wheel,
Follows its path straight, unwinding,
To the place where I'll be finding,
Seth Draine, Max Schafer, Brad Donley too,
My other family of skateboarders true,
Who skate for the fun, and who live by the rule,
That you're pussy and stupid if you skate to look cool.
We'll bust out 180's and 50-50s flip out,
Till teachers and managers will scream and will shout.
We'll rip up the benches, and wax up the rails,
And piss
I piss off the cops till they throw us in jail,
Till they snatch up our boards,
And swarm back to the hoards,
Of pigs at the station, where we'll have to pay bail,
To that great justice system of the US of A,
If
f you call this justice, get the hell away,
Have they no one to bust?
Have they nowhere to stay?
Than to take all our boards, and eat donuts all day?
Just because we have a skate, doesn't mean we'll kill someone,
We don't want to demonstrate, all we want is to have fun.
Skate spots are my homes away from home,
And my board is my friend when I'm all alone.
So when you snatch up my board, and think nothing of it,
I have nothing to do and I'm quite sick of it.
So to the skaters out there,
Who don't give a care about skating, and before you go do,
Examine your motives,
And look at the reasons you skate, to make sure that they're true.
So if you're a cop, just doing your job,
What harm are we causing, what banks have we robbed?
We just skate to have fun, we do all we can do,
So examine your motives,
On Board
FUNBOX
What is the difference between a catfish and a lawyer?
One is a bottom line, scum-sucking dickhead, and the other is just a fish.
-Arthur Bimrose
The other afternoon as I walked to the liquor store, I saw an old man with a normal sized body, but a
head about the size of an apple. Never in my life had I seen someone so strange. Being the curious lit-
tle bastard that I am, I stopped him to ask why his head was so small. I said, "Hey, Mister, why the
fuck is your head so small?" The old man then looked at me with sad eyes and said, "Well, son, if it
wasn't for the fact that I'm so damn old, I would beat your ass. But since you remind me of myself, I
will tell you. Once, back when I was no older than you, I was out fishing off the dock. Just then I felt a
tug. I thought to myself, 'Holy shit, I've caught a whale." But when I had finally reeled in my catch, to
my delight, I realized I had a mermaid. The mermaid looked at me in fear and said that if I released her,
she would grant me one wish. So after a while of deep concentration, I looked at the beautiful mermaid
and said, 'How about a little head?"
