myself lying on the ground with a
severely sore right ankle. I tried walk-
ing out of the way of other skaters,
but it was no use. I was then taken to
the emergency room, just to play it
safe, at 12:00 midnight. I sat there
for two hours or so until I finally saw
a doctor. He took a look at my ankle
and took a
a few
X-rays. He then
referred me to another doctor, actu-
ally an orthopedic surgeon. And
since it was Labor Day weekend that
this happened, I couldn't see him
until Tuesday, which was 2
away. It
It came Tuesday, I saw the
orthopedic surgeon and went into
surgery the next day. Three screws
were put in my right medial malleo-
lus of tibia and I was hospitalized for
two days, receiving
all
the morphine
ed. Now, 5 1/2 weeks
have passed since
surgery and I got my
cast off, but since I
walked on the cast
and I wasn't sup-
posed to, I have to
posed
wear a big heavy
black boot which
"provides rigid sup-
port while stabilizing
the ankle and foot."
I want-
It's basically the same
kind boot that Neil
Armstron
Armstrong wore when
he took that "one big step for
mankind." Loneliness and depres-
sion are taking their toll, and the
one thing that could bring me back
up is for you to publish this letter, or
at least
put the pics (with my name
by 'em) in your magazine.

ROTTEN APPLE
When I helped start Zoo York in
1992 I had no idea that it would
turn out so fucking lame. Not only
is it now owned mostly by non-
skaters, but the few cats they
sponsor barely even skate, espe-
cially the pros.
I
C'mon, we've had a skatepark for
two years on 108th Street and
these nerds have shown up maybe
twice, donating nothing to the
park. On top of that, they have
refused to work collaboratively with
anyone in the area. Zoo has sup-
ported nothing in the scene except
their own egos and has continually
played "high-post" as if they cor-
nered the market on skateboard-
ing-as if skating is only business
and nothing more.
So much for New York's premier
skate company. I have two words
for you boys...wake up!
Skateboarding
about fun and friend-
ship, not money and
bitches. Do your-
selves a favor and
stop fakin' like a crew
of professionals.
C'mon, when was
the last time any of
you placed in a pro
contest? Or even
entered
ered one?
The skateboard
community is bet-
ter off without
our bullshit-no
your
more wack ads, no more 1986
Bobbito show videos, no more shit
poppin'. And no more, I mean NO
more, gettin' paid to chill. Put up or
shut up.
Oh yeah, one more thing. Without
me, none of you jerkoffs would have
ever seen a paycheck. Know your
history. Respect universal.
Where everywhere is war.
