THRASHER HALL OF FAME
On Friday, May 1, 1998 at Slam City Jam in Vancouver,
British Columbia, thirteen skateboarders were quietly
inducted into the THRASHER Skateboard Hall of Fame.
The Skateboard Hall of Fame was created to recognize.
skateboarders who have been influential and innovative
through their actions on a skateboard. Selection to this list
was based on spontaneous, radical skating-not neces-
sarily contest results. All of these skaters have left wheel
marks on skateboard history that will last for generations.
A portable display of photos and memorabilia com-
memorating THRASHER'S 1998 Skateboard Hall of Fame.
inductees will be on display at SkateLab Skatepark in Simi
Valley, California throughout the year. Nominations for
1999 are now being considered.
