AMINALS
DAVE COYNE
JP JADEED
I should have beat him up a year ago
when I was taller than he was, but
now I'm scared of him and his hair.
-Gary Smith
He punched me in the face.
-Ryan Denman
I've known this guy since he was a
shop-sponsored CASL kid. Those days
are over, but his skating has just
begun. Josh Neher
Sponsors: Neighborhood, Kastel,
Active Ride Shop
Home: LaVerne, CA
Age: 18
Thank you's: My family for every-
thing, Seu and Lance for photos,
Julio De La Cruz and everyone at
Climax, Paul and Jamie Stone at
Kastel, Shane at Active. What's up to
Drone, Haze, all the Media kids,
everyone in IE, LV, OC, and LA.
Bolting out of Wheeling, West
Virginia, Dave Coyne has been
raising plenty of brows around the
San Diego area with his solid flip-
pery and surgeon-like skateboard
control. Telemarketing through
the day and spending every sec-
ond of his off-time shredding the
raw streets with his mentor, Chad
"the bio-Ohioan" Knight, and
other
friends, Little Dave is des-
tined to make the bros back in
Wheeling and the rest of the skate
world want to holler. His signature move, the whirlwind,
is almost ready to be unleashed. So if Dave calls and tries
to sell you something, or if you just see him at the local
spot, offer him a slap on the back or a sip of your drink.
Just don't call him Leaf Boy. -Michael Burnett
JOSH NEHER
Age: 19
Hometown: San Bernardino, CA
Sponsors: Media, Axion, Active
Ride Shop
When I hear the name Josh
Neher, I think of good clean
skateboarding. Skateboarding
isn't the only thing about him-
he's also a good person and
friend. He is cool, calm, collect-
ed, and funny. There is never a
dull moment when Josh is
around. "Instant wild man-just
add beer." -David Lee
Thanks: The Lord, my mom and
dad, my sister Adrienne, all the
guys at Media, Heather at Axion,
Shane at Active, Jason Harvey,
Lucio, J. Knight, Russell, Seu,
Ave, David Lee, Lance, everyone
in the IE, AZ, LA, OC, and every-
one I forgot.
MIKE HARPER
Age: 20
Home: Pennsauken, NJ
Sponsors: Declaration Skateboards, DVS Shoes,
Counter Culture, Failure
Shoe Size: 13
Since the first time I met Harper, he has never
failed to impress me with his ability to ride a
skateboard. Whether he's going big, getting
tech, skating regular or switch, it's always solid.
Mike's determination and positive attitude will
take him far in life, as he earns the respect of
anyone fortunate enough to see him skate. Mike
would like to thank: Shane, Adam and Sue, Pod,
Grog, Brother Wolf, Slim, the Cinnaminson
heads, the Scharrs, the Marshalls, the Matteo
family, and Jamie Lynn for sticking by him
through everything. "He who works like a slave
shall one day eat like a king." -S Brodsky
