In the evening at the street corner we would meet
We would skate through the rain-drenched streets
Flying down hills, carving wildly from side to side
The gathering rain showed us which way to ride
The cold wind blew and made us shake
The same crisp wind that kept us awake
Every night we'd skate well past midnight
We rolled on underneath the
Dim glow of the streetlight
Until the damp pavement took us home to sleep
Tomorrow night at the street corner, again we will meet
We still call it sidewalk surfing.
