arlier last year, I ran into Neal Hendrix at one of those hyped-
up vert jack-offs, and he said, "Dude, I just got back from Peru,
and there is the sickest park there, and I thought to myself,;
'Where are all the hellriders?"". Being as we're down to go any-
where, I immediately put it on my list as spots to hit for the
year. And being as it is also right next to Ecuador made it
mandatory for a stop in Quito on the way home.
Arrival in Lima was a lot different than I had expected. It was
never sunny and no sky whatsoever; like living in a fishtank. The
first stop of this trip was called Daytona. It was the carbon copy of
some extreme course in some far off land; basically, it was a
rollerblade park. We skated, but we were looking for a little something
more South American. It had the super jumps, over 200 video games,
armed guards, and drunk drivers in the go kart area. We asked around,
and there was word of another park at the edge of the ocean called
Paradise. What a strange name for such a dirty place. It had to be the
dirtiest park in the world. Big cement tacos and cool green-painted
walls all the way around covered in ocean crust next to a filthy
ocean with detergent
