out of a cannon, just a little black and
red ball of fire zooming back and
forth from the roll-in to the wave to
the mega wall. He probably could
have won if he'd gotten off his roller
coaster long enough to tailslide the
ledge or something, $1000 is the
least we can do for such a legend.
2. Tim Brauch Just knowing what
Skate Street is like, you can imagine
the kind of stuff Tim did. He skated
the whole park. Not the whole street
course, the whole park. Tim's lines
went over to the mini-ramps, through
the crowd, up into the snack bar, and
over every other slippery inch the
place had to offer. $1500 and a trip
for two to Mexico was his prize.
1.Carlos De Andrade Carlos is not
the hair-hiding Brazilian, nor is he
some kind of kickflip, Indy-grabbing
robot. He's a small, polite young man
who can mix tech tricks like nollie
flips to noseslide and chest-high
backside ollies with excellent consis-
tency and an effortless style. Won
$3000 and a trip for two to Tahiti at
this outing and should continue to be
a hefty threat for quite some time.

30.Remy Stratton This was his
first contest in a while, and he's
still got it, even though he got
last. 29. Mike Pragnell One-foot-
ed mutes and a raw Canadian
style. 28. Fabio Frugis Brazilian
ATV. 27.Chris Livingston Ollie
nosegrind reverts up the exten-
sion. 26. Chad Vogt Judo airs to
shuffle across the entire ramp.
25.Jake Brown Is very good and
needs to stop bailing so he can
get the cash he deserves.
24.Darren Navarette Kickflip

you land them. Skated to "Devil
Went Down to Georgia."
23. Richard Kirby Bailed.

made top 10 if he'd pulled his new
trick, the "Wampl-air," in his run.

the heavy foot on his usual
blend of airs and spins. 12.Rob Boyce Tried backflips in practice
until he barfed. 11. Lance Mountain 540°s on the extension. Got
10th, but shined skating in the finals. 10.Jon Comer This was his
first pro contest, so 10th place is very, very good. Heelflip frontside
airs flowed like Lone Star, the official beer of Texas. 9. Mike

of these things again. 2.Andy
MacDonald One of the craziest
tricks he did was a nollie heelflip
varial to lien crooked cop; one of
the smoothest was a body varial
to fakie frontside 5-0. Andy rides
for Powell and is honored to
have the chance to add to their
rich history and tradition. 1.Bob
Burnquist Unlike other events,
it wasn't crystal clear that Bob
was going to win this one. But
with 7-foot backside ollies, 4-
foot ollies to pivot, and switch
backside lipslides up the escala-
tors, it wasn't too far fetched.
Bob also won a trip to Tahiti, as
well as a special trophy chair
