For those of you who
only know Kevin Jones
from thumbing through
your local snowboard-
ing mags, his skate-
board skills are defi-
nitely up-to-par. After
skating with him all last
summer, the first
thing that comes
to mind is, "Kevin
doesn't seem to
leave his board
much." Yes, Kevin
was skateboard-
ing way before he
strapped on the silly
snowboard.
Once again you're
almost impossible to
get ahold of these.
days. As soon as the
snow starts falling, you
seem to have a pretty
busy schedule. How's
your winter been
this year?
All in all, it's been
great. A little
slow in Tahoe, but I've been
travelling a lot. Just had a really
good trip to Island Lake Lodge.
Who have you been riding
with this season?
I've been filming a lot with
Mike and Dave Hatchett at
Standard Films, and the usual
standard crew: Noah, AV, Andy
Hetzel, and a few others.
What made you start
snowboarding?
One of my friends, Chris
Alexander, had a copy of
Riders On The Storm, and
John Cardiel was in it. He was
ripping, just skating the snow,
so I had to try it.
Aren't you guys on the same
team now?
Yeah. He was a big influence
on my snowboarding and
skating. Now we both ride for
Lamar. It's killer.
OK, enough snow talk. Where
does skateboarding come
into play for you?
Skating's pretty much my num-
ber one pastime. Unfortunately, I
don't get to skate as much in the
winter, but I really look forward to
it in the summer. It keeps me on
my toes. -Aaron Sedway

Clockwise from top left: Cold chillin' in da
Hood. Backside Smith grinder in the Reno
skate amphitheatre. Holy huck monkeys! It's
Kevin Jones hurling a lengthy fakie 540°. In
Tahoe, first you get the money, then you get
the women, then you get the pow-pow.
