HE MISSION WAS SET. The plane was loaded with
120 paratroopers. The men have been waiting a
whole year to enter Gator Country. Training was crit-
ical for the air assault. A few of the men were lost in
the (Jah) high winds. I mean, the Jah winds. The bat-
tle was set up by General Schaefer. He's had many years
on the front line. This was
his third tour of duty, and
he's yet to lose a battle.
The first day of fighting
we were hit hard with
heavy casualties. Men
had been killed, a
couple wounded,
eaten by gators,
and a few cap-
tured by the
enemy, tortured by
Mon's Venus, booze,
drugs, and women.
No one confessed to
any war crimes.
Officer Ronnie
Bertino was bumped
up to Sergeant of
Arms for the second
day of fighting since
he had the highest
number of kills in
one day. Day two: a
vigorous attack was
made. Only 16
men made it.
