Skateboarding is skateboard-
ing. After skateboarding,
what are some things you want
to do?

supposed to be. Well, to
tell you the truth, these
days I'm not so sure any-
more. I've lost touch with
what's going on around me in EGONT
the so-called real world,
because every thought and
action coming from me is
aimed at my life in skate-
boarding. I live my life in
books and music. Who I am,
exactly, depends on my
moods. There are days when I
can talk to people, and then.
there are days where I'm so
afraid of how people are
that I won't leave my apart-
ment: days where I can do no
wrong, and days where I lay
in bed praying that I will

haven't found my way. I'm
not really looking, either,

There's something else out
there, I think, something won-
derful and awful. What if the
events that haven taken place
over the years could somehow

I started skateboarding, because
all my friends from school skated,
so I got a skateboard. The first
time I streetskated was on the way
to my friend Seth's mini-ramp. So, I
started on both, actually. I had
camouflage pants and a collared

one big giant weekend.
That's cool in a sense. Maybe
there's a lot of skateboard-
ers that might take that for
granted. It's not the most
luxurious lifestyle, but it's
definitely nice to be able to
have your time to be able to
do whatever you want.
That's the best thing in
the world. That's the best
thing ever. The reason why we
are so unhappy as
people-everybody, this whole
fucking world-is because
they, not narrowing it down
to their job, but most people
have to do things they don't
want to do just to get by. I
appreciate that, and I recog-
nize the fact that I'm doing
what I want to do as a liv-
ing, you know? Like I'm mak-
ing money and living by doing
what I enjoy most, by my own
schedule. There's almost
nobody in the entire world
who can say that, except for
a few hundred people.

skateboarders are very lucky,

fucked. Let's just say that
everything that glitters
isn't gold, you know? As far
as how rad it might be, but I
don't know. We don't make
enough money, because skate-
boarding, hands down, is,

I can think of that's harder
is riding bikes on vert
rampe. That shit is insane.

bikes when I was younger, and
I used to get fucking worked. P

Do you get kind of bummed on the idea
that society kind of frowns on skate-
boarding as like just something you did
when you were in sixth grade, and it's a
little kid's sport and not really accept-
ed as something that takes super agility
and balance and... there's so many vari-
ables to ride a skateboard and do the
tricks people do. Does it bun you out
that the older generation can look down
and go, "What are you doing, why don't
you get into the real world and do this
and that?"
Well, the real world is a relative
tern. One person's real world might not
be another person's real world..
