Have you ever been hospitalized because of skateboarding?
I broke my arm before, but more recently, as soon as I got to America, I dislo-
cated my thumb. I still can't move it. Then I hurt my knee on a handrail, and as
soon as that got better, I broke my face on a gap. I tried to clear the corner of a
planter, a double-set and a handrail, but I caught my foot on the rail and went
straight to my head. I couldn't really remember things for a bit.
Have you found that it's easier to hook things up in America following
the recent British invasion of good skateboarders?
Yeah. Everybody asks me if I know Tom Penny. Almost everyone.
Does anyone ask you if you know Sean Goff?
Only one, and I didn't like that guy.
Are you going to blow up in America?
I don't know. Since I've been here, it's like the dream place to skateboard,
but it's not home to me. It's everything you see in the videos, but I'll be ready
to go back to England.
Who gives you gear?
Slam City Skates, Siesta Clothing, and I'm also getting help from
Foundation and Vans.

KALE SANDRIDGE
Kale Sandridge is a true skate punk.
Although at first sight of the snaggle-
toothed character you'd be fooled by
his mellow front. Born and raised in
Hawaii, Kale will skate pretty much
anything. Pool skating is what he's
known for and is regarded as one of
the best. Kale can ride any transition,
sometimes a jacuzzi might set him
off for the day. He's always down to
rage. If you are ever in Honolulu, you
might find him at The Grove or The
Jungle, partying till the sun comes up.
After that he'll probably go for a surf
to rejuvenate, then head to the bridge
bowl for some trademark slob airs.
Don't forget to throw in a couple doo-
bies for the road. Very necessary.
