            Hocus Pocus.
That was the first video I was ever
in. Mike Ternasky was the producer of
that. That was when I first started skat-
ing for H-Street. I think it was 1990, '89,
maybe. That was right before I turned
pro. I was like fifteen or sixteen.
What about the Colby Curse?
Oh, man! I'm a cop magnet. I always get
busted. Oh, God. I've been busted for so
much dumb stuff. So many speeding
tickets. Stupid stuff. Somehow I'm able
to get out of a lot of it, but, still, it sucks.
Maryjane.

I'm very liberal on the subject.
Legalization.
Future.
Snowboard and skateboard. I want to
film, travel, and compete a little bit.
Has the skateboard industry
changed enough so that you might
get back into it?
Yeah, but I don't really care. I just want
to enjoy myself. I've done that, and I just
want to totally enjoy riding. I might start
competing again, but I'll just see how it
comes. It kind of takes the fun out of it
when it's a job.
What about a Colby Carter snow-
board?
Maybe. Someday, hopefully.
Can you spin?
Sure.
Can you flip?
Sure.
Don't lie to me. I can spot a lie like a
fart in a car.
I can do it.
What do you think of the sour-grapers
out there who are going to be saying,
Top: Where sleet meets
street, an alley-oop 360°
Indy at the Hood pipe.
Middle: You can't do this on
a snowboard, frontside
kickflip Disaster up the
extension.
Right: Blindside over the
hip, up the E, in the shadow
of Mt Hood.
"Oh, Colby couldn't hack it as a skateboarder, so now he's
going to try and milk snowboarding"?
Yeah, I know people talk that kind of shit all the time. I just
block all that shit out because I know what I want to do.
Snowboarding and skating are the same and different, you
know? You can go so fast and fat on a snowboard, just like you
can get really tech on a skateboard--they're both so good.
Would you ever get to a point where you'd think, "I better
not skateboard because I might hurt myself and then I
can't snowboard"?
No, I would never do that or vice-versa. I love them both so
much. I love snowboarding just as much as skateboarding.
Who hooks you up?
I'm riding for Type A Snowboards, Generation Skateboards,
Thunder Trucks, Spitfire Wheels, Vans Shoes and Tech-9.
Shrewgy still hooks you up?
Yep. Shrewgy has helped me since I was fifteen. He's a nice
guy. He takes care of me.
