Santa Cruz/Creature 1996 Summer Tour
As summer started approaching. I
began to think. "What the hell am I
gonna do?" Enter Jeff Kendall. He told
me that he was planning a US tour for
the Santa Cruz/Creature teams and
asked me if I wanted to go. Without
hesitation, I said, "Yes." Then came the
other part of his plan. He was too busy
with his work at NHS, he wanted me
o be the one in charge of the tour.
which meant that it would be job to
drive the van, call the shops, get the
motels, and keep things running
smooth. I haven't even managed a
checkbook, let alone an entire team,
but I pushed my luck and left June ist
f the tour..
It's amazing what caffeine can do for
your body at 7:00 am. That's when
Israel Forbes, Kyle Kimberling, Chet
Childress, Tim Brauch, Peter McBride,
and I, with my third cup of coffee in
hand, loaded and boarded the big, blue.

later and a hundred bucks richer, I
thought it would be a good idea to get
some sleep before "gambling fever"
took its toll on me, too.
After a late wake-up call in the ghet-
to motel and a thousand miles to the
next demo, we loaded the van and
headed to Boulder, Colorado. After six-
