THE MOUNTAIN IS A VERY BIG PLACE,
so ride the whole damn thing. With Whistler-Blackcomb, BC,
as his home turf, Kevin Jones is no stranger to big mountain
charging. But when he's yearning for the skate feeling of
dodging cars and pedestrians, he heads straight to the
park to snake and slalom through the kooks lined up in front
of the hits. Years of of eating beans give him the propulsion
needed to blast this stinkbug mute 540° high above a
Mammoth, CA, kicker. Shawn Farmer is always looking for
the sensation of a 3:00 am hill bomb in the SF avenues. He
finds a close second four hours away by riding the Tahoe
backcountry and stomping the toughest lines he can find.
Whether it's New Jack, Old Jack, or flat out Butt-Jack,
everyone knows that the most fun is had by working the hill
from top to bottom. Why pay forty bucks to ride only the
snowpark? Winter's coming, find some new lines.
