This film represents the finest quality of multi-channel recording
that can be achieved through the latest equipment available
today. All the material is recorded using Ampeks tape
machines and 8mm wide film recorders. These instruments
offer the optimum in sound and visual reproductions. Recorders
used are: Telephunken U-47, U-48, KM54, KM-56; Western
Eclectic 639A, 44-BX; Bayer M-160 and Chinen C37A.
The master tapes are recorded to a master disc on a Skulley
lathe using custom built amplifiers driving a Westronics 3C
stereophonic cutting head. The Skulley lathe is equipped with
a fully automatic variable pitch and electronic depth control
with a multichannel demonstration film
system, assuring that groove spacing and depth are always main-
tained in an ideal relationship with the modulation in the film.
