TWISTED VISION
Dear Gator
I have been in the skating scene
for about twelve years now. I used to
look up to you very much. But then
you did it you raped and murdered
a woman. I was crushed when I
found out that you had committed
such a crime. As time went by. I had
pretty much forgotten about you,
until I read your column in Thrasher.
I can see how you paint a picture
of glamor and greed over the eyes
of the youth, but it does not work
with me. You can blame everything
you did on beer, drugs, cigs, pot,
lying and watching porn - oh, and I
almost forgot the sex before mar-
riage thing-but I have been there,
man. I have done it all all the drugs
(including needles). I want through
treatment and figured out there is
no god. I still enjoy looking at and
watching porn. I have never even
thought of raping and murdering a
woman or anybody else. You can't
blame what you did on the drugs,
the porn, or the lack of holy values
(sex before marriage). It boils down
to a lack of morals and a lack of self-
control. I don't care if you think my
view is wrong. No petty god rules
my life. You should have been put to
death for the crime you committed.
An eye for an eye, straight out of
your bible. You still wear the blinders
you went into jail with. You should
put yourself to death. According to
your god, you will live in eternal
damnation anyway! So you can take
your close-minded, anti-worldly,
anti porn, anti-drug, god-loving, rap
ing, murdering ass and rot in hell.
Fuck off

I was in a coffee shop downtown
the other day, and when I turned
around, I spotted an older gentle-
man sitting alone at the corner
table, staring at the chessboard in
front of him. I could tell by the way
he looked that life had been hard on
him. When he moved, his jacket
opened, and I saw that he was wear-
ing a Thrasher logo T-shirt. He
noticed me looking at him, so I
said, "I like your shirt." He just
smiled. Then I thought, "Man, that
guy's got style."
