THEFT LEADS TO 2 ARRESTS
SEAL BEACH-Two Long Beach teenagers were arrested on suspicion
of robbery Thursday for the theft a day earlier of skateboards from two
Seal Beach youths, police said.
One of the Long Beach teenagers, a 14-year-old, also was charged with
assault with a deadly weapon for stabbing one of the victims with a pen
in the forehead and the neck, police said.
The two 15-year-old Seal Beach youths had been skateboarding in the
700 block of Electric Avenue about 4:45 pm on Wednesday when the two
Long Beach teenagers demanded their skateboards, police said.
When the youths refused, the 14-year-old from Long Beach plunged a
pen into the forehead and neck of one of the teens, police said. The youth
received stitches on the forehead, police said.
The Long Beach teenagers were arrested Thursday after a patrol officer
recognized them after stopping them on another matter, police said. The
skateboards were found in the teenagers' possession, police said.
After being charged, the Long Beach youths were released to the cus-
tody of their parents, police said.
