THE ROCK
I want to know how true skaters
survive in captivity. I have been
sentenced to six months in the
county jail, and it sucks! I also
would like to know how many pros
are convicted felons?

HICK TOCK
Who the hell is this poser John
Cardiel? Why did you waste eight
pages of Thrasher in interviewing
this loser, and what idiots voted his
sorry, un-wiped ass "Skater of the
Year?" What a moron! Every time
that jerk opened his mouth, a
turd fell out. The only intelligent
thing he said was he respects and
loves his family and mother. "Like,
dude, bro, it was way all gnarly
and shit, ya know." The topper
was that he was proud that he
owns a gun that "probably killed a
bunch of Indians." That's just
plain retarded. I'm 31 years old,
I've been skatin' since I was 10 and
I still ride everyday. I respect life
and the spirits of the great Indian
tribes that used to roam this
island, until punk-ass, gun-totin'
kooks like John "Buttfuck" Cardiel
murdered them and gave white.
people a worse reputation than
they already had. I don't want this
little boy representing me as a
skater! If he thinks guns are cool,
why doesn't he put one in his
mouth and pull a Kurt Cobain
(another loser!), or, better yet,
John, why don't you put your toy
guns down, come out to Driggs,
Idaho, and try a little hand-to-hand
combat with me, you puss! That is
a personal invitation! After I get
done slapping your sorry, fuzzy-
headed ass around, you can wash
the shit off my hands, and then I'll
take you snowboarding in the
mountains where our Indian broth
ers used to thrive. Shit, I might
even buy you a beer and let you
skate my ramp and crash in my
teepee. No hard feelings.

FLAT BOTTOM
Your "Dropping Bombs" insert
was great, only the guy jumping
off of the roof is Matthew, not
Nathan Schroeder. I was one of
the guys standing on the platform
looking stoked. That railing he
jumped off was on top of a vert
ramp and was 14' or 15' high. I
remember he was overhead when
he went over the platform. He
entirely missed the transition and
landed on the flatbottom. When
he landed, you could feel some-
thing in the flatbottom break.
Anyway, he pushed and finished
