empty handed, We said
goodbye and headed to

After a wet and lazy day
which mainly consisted of t
catching up on sleep and
shopping for tapes we
headed to Intensity skate-
shop where they were,
hosting the next demo
The weather seemed to
be cooperating little
better that day and the
crowd was big, and even
the obstacles seemed
decent. The highlight of this and most every shop
demo we encountered was the product toss, and at
just about every single one blood was drawn
After the mandatory goodbyes and autographs we
entered the van, which at this point had built up quite
an amorous odor, and headed straight to Maryland,
where we had a 3pm demo with a local kid there.
Surprisingly, the dama went off without a hitch and
we skated all the local spots fill dusk. We said our
goodbyes and headed out in the night looking for a
decent night's sleep
In the morning we headed out to New York City
where our first stop would be at the Alleged Gallery
to get some directions of the underground spots lo
the city. Leaving the joint semi empty-handed, we

ventured out to the Brooklyn Banks, where a
session was well underway, It was there that
Chad spotted a ten-stair handrail, Areging
session soon developed leaving most of the
locals sitting in bewilderment thonestly don't
think that rail will ever recuperate from the
punishment that the team gave it, As the
sun started to set and our stomachs began to
churn emptily, Ed said he knew the exact
location of this excellent vegan restaurant
Three hours and fifty circles around the city
later we made it to the nuevo vegan restau
rant and fueled up on soy burgers for our
journey to New Hampshire.
New York City was just a memory to us
now. But we all made a promise to return
By now sleeping on the floor was becoming
second nature and that's how (woke up in 1
New Hampshire We had a 2pm shop demo
and somehow arrived slightly early (which is
quite unusual for us) and parked the van. We
met up with the shop owner and he gave us
directions to the demo spot. When we arrived.
we noticed it was located on a tennis court with
some pretty outdated obstacles. It was a "pro
only demo, which left the team pretty unmoti
vated, but they made the most of the
situation and adjusted the course to
their specs. The heat was beginning to
take its toll and the skating abruptly
stopped and an autograph session,

After the handshakes and auto-
graphs, the shop owner insisted we
make a quick stop by the shop. On the
way there I noticed the sign promoting

to pass up an opportunity to sample
some of America's finest brewskis,
grabbed Muska and headed over there
I have to admit that looking young does
have its advantages, but trying to buy
alcohol out-of-state isn't one of them.
and we were fully denied access to the
festival. So we began a search for the
nearest liquor store and tracked down
some alternative type kid who sug
gested we try the mini-market down
the street. Mission complete. We were
now satisfied for the journey to Boston
where we would be dropping off Frank
Hirata and Steve Olson, and picking up
Panama Dan and Donny Barley. By this
time Paul Sharpe and Heath Kirchart had also
joined our rag-tag fugitive fleet
We got to Panama Dan's house fairly early and
right away trouble began. It seems that as we
were in the house we had an unwelcome guest
the van. There's someone stealing the van
said a pale and out-of-breath Ed. He had noticed
aman in the driver's seat fumbling with the
ignition and after a brief confrontation between
the thief and Ed, the bandit split out, but not
without grabbing Jamie's backpack, Mike's
Super 8 and leaving the van inoperable. We
called the cops and locksmith who informed us
