MARC JOHNSON
Crayons, scratch paper and a child's imagination propelled Marc Johnson
into the world of art. As a youngster living in Winston-Salem, North
Carolina, Mare began sketching things that caught his eye, from school
buses to pumpkin patches. He soon found himself wandering into art
stores buying pens, paper, acrylics and canvas. It was around this time
that Mare discovered his favorite medium-urethane, aluminum and
wood. It was that medium which enabled Mare to pack his bags and head
to sunny San Diego, California, where he found new outlets for his cre-
ative expression. From San Diego, Marc headed north to San Jose, where
he began to appreciate the work of Todd McFarlane, HR Giger, Ben
Horton, Ed Templeton and Mark Gonzales. Nowadays, when he's not
destroying every skateable object in his path, Mare still finds time to uti-
lize his other artistic skills.
