"TALK IS CHEAP," as Cop
Shoot Cop says on the song
"Inside Out" off their new
Release. Whether it's playing
music. juggling knives or
bragging about the latest
skateboard maneuvers,
those who spend the most
time flappin' their lips usually
get their experience from
the spectator's point-of-view.
Those involved with the task
at hand have better things to
do than spray... Rick Sims
of The Didjits has joined up
with the mighty forces of
The Supersuckers as Paul
Leary from The Butthole
Surfers produces their new
album. Meanwhile, 'Suckers
guitarist Eddie Spaghetti
enjoyed the very best day of
his life on his birthday when
country & western legend
Willie Nelson (touring with
The Highwaymen featuring
the likes of Johnny Cash,
Waylon Jennings and Kris
Kristofferson) came by the
studio and said hi. Enrap
tured by his brief brush with
greatness, Eddie got arrest-
ed later that evening for an
open container and spent
the rest of the night in jail...
Compulsion got the plug
pulled on their set in Buffalo,
NY, after trying to get some
audience response by ask-
ing. "What do we have to
do, light a bomb under you
people?" Unbeknownst to
them, the club owner knew
somebody who had recently
died in the cowardly Okla
homa City firebomb incident
Though they will never
receive any notoriety for
their sobriety, Intoxicated of
Altamonte Springs, Florida,
has made a name for them-
selves by playing metal with
an attitude. Legendary ham
Intoxicated
mersmith Tim Payne, broth
er of Erik Payne, the rhythm
guitarist for the group, says
the guys in Intoxicated tend
to get a little bit wild. "My
brother always gets in fights,
but he doesn't start them,"
Tim explains. "The other
night after his band was fin-
ished he was going off to the
next band and one of the
bouncers grabbed him and
told him to mellow out. And
this big 6'4, 220 pound jock
shoved him and said, 'Why
don't you slam me?' So my

brother hit him square in the
face so hard I could hear the
connection over the music. I
ran over there to help and
my brother was taking full
down swings on the guy's
head. That jock will think
twice before he starts that
shit again. Coming out of
Baltimore, Maryland, is the

on bass and vocals. Their
new release Greetings is a
thick and beckoning concoc-
tion of sludge, sweat and
tears... Post be-bop hip hop
and funky hypno horn solos
combine in the sound of 2
Bass Hit on a new slab called
Occupied World which gives
a nod to jazz innovators such
as John Coltrane, Charles
Mingus, Charlie Parker and
Niggaz With Attitude...
Pulling out all the stops, a
band named Chuck from
Lucerne Valley puts the punk
back in pop punk with Hul-
aville... The rumors that The
Ramones may soon break up
will only proliferate with the
title of their new CD, Adios
Amigos. If this is the last we
hear from The Ramones' (let
us hope noti, at least they
kept it real and went out
with a bang. Amigos rocks
with trademark Ramones
amplitude, featuring a cover
of "I Don't Want To Grow

load of tunes in that steady
vein we've come to know

a little heavy on that

pretty poppy com-
