Santa Rosa Skatepark, empty swimming
pools, ramps, street, whatever.
What kind of tricks make you feel good?
Going really high, getting big air
What's the best place that you ever skated?
I'd have to say Burnside.
Who has influenced you in your skating?
I'd have to say Christian Hosoi, Jason Jessee
and Joel Price.
Do you have any sponsors?
I'm sponsored by my girlfriend right
now, she pays the rent and all the bills.
All I do is skateboard.
How long have you been skating?
About ten years.
What was the first board you liked?
It was a Vision Mark Gonzales.
Is there anyone you'd like to thank
for anything you've ever gotten?
My girlfriend Hilary.
CHRIS STRAUSBAUGH
If you came to Dodge Skatepark in Columbus, Ohio,
and Chris Strausbaugh was there, you'd probably witness
a raging, one-man, skate demo. Fearless, friendly, limit-
less and down-to-earth is Strause (pronounced straws
Charging the course at a "stuck in fifth gear speed and
ollieing every hip in sight, Chris' abilities are turned on at
will. An admitted klepto, he is not afraid to try anything.
especially on his board. You'll never see Strause with his
hat off, and will most likely see him downing cold Cokes
and smoking up the Marlboros and "lerp." Chris has
never claimed a sponsor, and slightly resembles Julien
Stranger. He looks up to the Gonz and listens to Sabbath,
Hendrix and the Beasties. He just moved to Boston, MA,

Why is it you never do your dishes?
What, I um. I've been skating for nine years.
What's with the potatoes, O'Brien?
Roots, baby, roots. I've been eating them for
twenty-one years.

SF, 469ers, with Pailesy, Drehobes, and the Saldork.
What's your routine?
Wake up too early fokh dead-end job and return home noonish to eat
and then whatever skate or die
What the hell happened to your hair?
Zoo York, Venture Trucks, and Dan's old shoes.
