"I'm not tired!" My sister is the same, I
think we have the same cheeks, and
they make us look tired. We never get
tired, except when we go to sleep.
Where have you travelled, and why
did you go there?
I've been almost everywhere in the US
and Canada, just for demos and road
trips. I've never been to Vancouver or
British Columbia or Alaska, but I have
been to Mexico a little bit. Frequently, I
like to go down to Florida and visit the
boys: Frazier, Zitzer and Schaeffer, to hang
out and skate the Tampa park. I still con-
sider Canada my home, although I'm not
there much. Doylestown is home too.
And Europe?
I've done it a couple of times, everybody
should do it. The only thing is, I wish
everyone could go at the same time,
then it would be the best. It's so fun,
you can walk around the streets and
drink beer and just have a good time.
It seems to me that you have a slightly
quirky perception on the world and are
very observant. Do you have any cultur-
al interests that may reflect that, ie:
Books, music, art, that kind of stuff?
I like to read books about stuff like
aliens, UFOs, the supernatural, AIDS,
mysteries, detective stuff, anything that
is not yet understood. I like to read
about it and try and figure out why it is a
mystery, to know why no one knows and
try to realize why stuff is unknown.
To feed your curiosity?
Yeah, because I don't know anything
about that stuff, but I know a thing or two
about a thing or two.
Do you have any beliefs? Religion?
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth. I was brought up
What do you think is the strongest aspect of
your personality?
I usually find it hard to find fault in others
unless they go out of their way to cross me
which isn't very often, usually a girlfriend's
ex-boyfriend or something stupid like that.
Normally I get along with everybody, that's
probably my best quality. Someone would usu-
ally find fault in me first.
What do you think you appreciate in other
people's personalities?
I don't like to feel betrayed by friends. I'm
really into close friends. I get bummed out if
one of my bros isn't acting like one of my bros
because I'm like, "Shit, you're one of my bros."
What's the best feeling you've gotten from
riding a skateboard?
Just going super fast and not falling
Usually I start to speed up, and then I fall, but
sometimes it works out where you don't fall,
and you make the next thing, and then the
next thing. When mistakes come together,
that's good. I like doing flip tricks on vert
where you don't grab the board. When I first
learned ollies, I was all, "Woah, did I get out
of the top?" And now doing flips out the top
just blows my mind.

to believe that, and my mother and father have some seri-
ous knowledge, and yeah, I pray everyday.
Do you have any superstitions?
I have so many that I don't even want to start listing
them, but not really.
Do you believe in UFOs?
I don't know about UFOs or aliens, but I think with the
whole abduction scenario, it's pretty phenomenal how lit-
tle men can take people through windows in the night,
like actually through the glass. Everybody said they didn't
even open the window to get them through. It would be
quite a traumatic experience for most people, you know.
How come you're such an ox? Do you work out?
No, my dad is a big man, and I guess skating helps.
Maybe if I did work out, I'd be more muscular.
It's like people who don't skate seeing Darren doing
huge ollies to fakie on vert, it looks unbelievable.
Just for the record, I've seen Darren Menditto do eight-
and-a-half foot ollies to fakie at Cheapskates. The rafters are
eight and a bit, and he was totally up there between them,
If you could somehow see the future, what would the
next ten years hold for you?
I'd like to still be skating good-not that I'm skating good
now. I'd like to be working hard. I don't know what I'll be
doing or where I'll be, but I don't want to be a lazy man.
Okay, I'm going to say a name or a subject, and you
give me a response. Parents:
Mine are the best. My sisters too, one of them has five
kids. I couldn't ask for any better.
Girls:
You know I'm fond of girls. I just like to meet people, like
when you travel. Maybe one day I'll find a rad girl that's nice
