LETTER OF THE MONTH
My name is Susanna Kanther, I'm sixteen and live in Moorestown, New Jersey. I began skateboarding a
few years ago but was out for over six months due to soccer and skateboard injuries. I usually skate
alone because there's no one to really skateboard with me. My friends from the DC area are cool.
Snowboarding greatly influenced my desire to skateboard and vice versa. I skateboard in my driveway, a
bank in Delaware, Maple Dawson, parking lots and stuff wherever but mostly in my driveway. I've been
to Love a few times, but I suck at skateboarding, so I couldn't do much. It's not a lot of fun skating alone,
but I enjoy it too much to stop. I started off alone, and boy, was I horrible. But along the way. I got help
and gradually improved. Thanks to everyone and a lot to Andy Oxley for aiding me the most. Oh, plus
my family for supporting me financially with skateboarding.
Whoever said there aren't enough girls out there who deserve coverage is nothing but a fool. Clockwise from opposite top:

stuff. Chargin' a frontside carve at Dodge Skatepark, Wendy Wilhoite blazes with speed. Photo by Donny Humes.
